This is a simple recipe for amla (Indian gooseberries) and coconut oil. Prepare this hair oil at home. It’s easy to make, it doesn’t take a lot of time, and you only need two ingredients; coconut oil and dried gooseberries. Regular use of this oil stops hair loss and gives you thicker and fuller hair. Heals premature graying and darkens hair. It even changes the texture of your hair giving you lovely, soft and straight locks.
This recipe needs (mainly) only two ingredients; coconut oil and dried gooseberries. Coconut oil nourishes the hair and scalp and promotes hair growth. Gooseberries can cure dandruff and make your hair strong, thick, and shiny.
Use pure and simple coconut oil for this recipe. If you have doubts about the quality of your oil, make it at home or obtain it by the cold pressing method by buying coconuts on your own and extracting the oil. This will give you an absolutely pure oil that cannot be combined with any other brand that is available on the market. There are many methods on the net that teach you how to prepare coconut oil on your own. You can choose the one that suits you best.
Hair Oil Recipe
200 ml. coconut oil
25 gms. dried chunks of gooseberry
If your hair is quite sparse and you suffer from severe hair loss, you can add the ingredients listed below to the oil as well. Soak the fenugreek seeds with the gooseberries overnight and add the castor oil, once the oil has cooled after cooking with the gooseberries.
2 teaspoons fenugreek / methi dana seeds (optional)
1 tablespoon castor oil (optional)
Oil preparation method:
Soak the gooseberries overnight in a bowl. The next day, heat the oil together with the currants and bring it to a boil. Now, lower the flame and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. The oil will have already turned yellowish. Turn off the gas and let this oil cool naturally. Strain the oil and store it in a glass container. You can even store it effortlessly for maximum benefits.
To use this oil, warm it up a bit and apply it all over the scalp and massage gently with your fingertips. For best results, leave it on at least overnight and wash off with a mild shampoo and warm water the next day. Or then leave it for a few hours. Do this at least once a week.
This oil is a bit heavier and greasier than regular coconut oil due to the currant infusion, so you will need a little more shampoo than usual to wash your hair perfectly. If you find the oil a bit greasy for you, add a little more of the plain coconut oil to the gooseberry oil.
Those who suffer from bad colds should not use this oil as it is a bit refreshing. If you are suffering from any vitamin, protein, etc. deficiency, simply using herbal hair oil cannot cure your hair problems.
