Sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise in Texas and El Paso is facing the state’s highest rates.

The Texas Department of State Health Services report shows chlamydia topped 156,131 in 2022, an increase of nearly 4,000 compared to 2021 and more than 30,000 from 2013.
