Colitis is a somewhat broad term that encompasses a number of digestive ailments and causes. Some of these are more serious and debilitating than others, some may even require surgery. The only thing in common between all of them is that the colon is inflamed and agitated to the point that it leads to misery.
Mitigating the problem often involves taking drugs and eating anything that … well, seems bland. You are not eating all that bland food because you are seeking the glory of God, you just want some peace. You’ve probably also noticed that the food you’re eating doesn’t really matter when it comes to reducing your colitis symptoms. It may help a bit, but eventually the symptoms of colitis are still there.
Food Combination: Save Monk’s Cookbooks
There is a food combining method that involves having an alkaline balanced body. If you mix foods that require alkaline digestive enzymes and acidic digestive enzymes, you will run into problems. Normally this would be fine, but if you have symptoms of colitis, it is something to avoid.
You can divide food into 3 groups:
- Type A: which can be easily broken down in the stomach.
- Type B: they need alkaline digestive enzymes.
- Type C – Those are the foods that the heavy weapons in the stomach require to break down, namely hydrochloric acid and pepsin.
It is okay to mix type A and B foods as well as type A and C. If you mix B and C, you will have problems.
You can eat any food you want, you just need to know the method to end your colitis symptoms. In fact, doing this may ease your colitis and give you more energy.
